Munch himself describes in a diary page the circumstances that led him to the birth of The Scream. The mysterious character portrayed in the picture is not shouting. Indeed, he is sheltering from the great scream of nature. Hence his expression lost and deformed into a grimace of surprise. In his mind, his thoughts run through a labyrinth. This is what inspired our puzzle, designed as a puzzle to solve!
